On a rainy afternoon in September Ling and Di Yu were married under a stone pavilion at MacDonald’s Garden Park in Ottawa.

Melissa, Mike, and I spent an evening chasing light at Hogs Back Falls a little while ago. When you’ve got warm, soft light like this you don’t need much else.

Preet and Kanwar had a traditional Sikh wedding back home in Vancouver, but wanted to celebrate their first anniversary in a wedding dress and a three-piece suit exploring some downtown Ottawa landmarks. Congratulations Preet and Kanwar!

I first met Lisa and David almost two years ago when they started looking for wedding photographers. David and I had known of each other through a few mutual friends, so I was very excited to work with them on their wedding day. They are the kind of people that you wished you had known for longer, and hope to stay in touch with over the years. The speeches made by  friends and family made it very clear how appreciative they were to have Lisa and David in their lives. The Maid of Honour described their relationship as, “a deep and comfortable love that seems to have already existed for ages but is bubbling with new excitement.” Perfect, right?

Museum of Nature

A dream team of vendors came together for this wedding. This was my first time shooting at wedding at the Museum of Nature and it was incredible! As always, it was great to work with Chic Wedding Planners, Tulips & Maple Catering, Keith from Exceptional CeremoniesWEDECOR, Full Bloom Floral Design, Matt Jacques DJ Services, and Dominion City Brewing Company!

Congratulations Lisa and David! You can see more of my work at Third Floor York.

Pegah and Bo are a wonderful and quirky couple who are temporary residents of Ottawa. Hailing from Vancouver, they wanted a series of engagement portraits at their favorite Ottawa landmarks before heading home to get hitched. Downtown Ottawa is full of architectural eye-candy and we made stops at Parliament Hill, the Rideau Canal, and the Fairmont Chateau Laurier as the sun set.
