This past weekend I made the trek to Cornwall to photograph Pascale and Mike’s wedding at the NAV Centre. Thankfully the weather  cooperated and we were able to shoot their portraits in the Eco Gardens on the waterfront. Pascale originally saw me in action at a few of the first weddings I ever shot and contacted me as soon as the ring was on her finger. It is always a wonderful compliment when clients choose their wedding date around your availability!

I had a great time photographing Meaghan and Alex’s wedding at Temple’s Sugar Camp last month. Not only were they great to work with, but they have a wild group of friends which always makes things more interesting later in the night – especially when there is a photo both! I don’t have the privilege of shooting Tyler and Michelle’s wedding this year (unfortunately I was already booked) but I was very happy to be able to shoot their engagement session under the blossom trees at Lincoln Field’s this spring. We waited months for the flowers to bloom, but it was more than worth it!

Since November I have been working out of my new collaborative space – Third Floor York – in the Byward Market, and I hope that you will visit me there soon if you have not already! Third Floor York is an amazing space filled with creative people. Photographers Andrew van Beek, Barbara Cameron, cinematographers Reno Video Production, event planner Kennedy Events and myself have been busy meeting with new clients, working on exciting independent projects, and collaborating on new ideas and opportunities. This is not the end of Blair Gable Photography, I just have a new home. There will be lots of new content to come on both sites, so please stay tuned!

This photo of Isha and Sam during their first dance during their wedding at Sidedoor Restaurant in Ottawa placed 3rd overall in the International Society of Wedding Photographers Winter 2012 photography contest.
