I woke up this morning to an email informing me that I had won four awards and placed 3rd overall in the Professional Wedding Photographers of Canada Winter 2013 photo contest. This is the second time I have placed third overall since I started entering these contests last year. I also placed 9th overall out of 40 award winning photographers for all of 2012. The latest award winners were shot during an engagement session at the Shore Club, and weddings at St. Patrick’s Basilica, Westin Ottawa and Sidedoor Restaurant.

I had a great time photographing Megan and Matt’s wedding at Le Nordik Spa in Chelsea, Quebec this past weekend. I photographed Megan’s sisters wedding in August 2011 (Trista + Brad’s wedding), so they treated like family and I knew that I was in for a wild party.

As 2012 came to a close, I was lucky enough to be listed among some of Canada’s top wedding photographers with the Professional Wedding Photographers of Canada. I placed 9th overall on a list of 40 great wedding shooters from across Canada. Placement on the list was determined by the number of images that win awards in the organizations contests throughout the year. Here are the ones that pulled in the good for me:

2013 is already off to a great start and hopefully I can continue to create great images for great clients!
