This was an incredibly meaningful wedding for me and I am happy that this image has been recognized. More to come!

You may remember Michelinne and Darren from their elopement on top of the Westin Ottawa or from their beach engagement session… Well, they reenacted their wedding ceremony for their families a few weeks later and threw a party to blind-side their close friends with the news!

Renate and Matthew were married at Temples Sugar Camp in Lanark County near Ottawa this past weekend. I am still coming down from my maple syrup induced sugar-high! Also, they served breakfast for dinner and it was awesome!

Shannon and Jared decided that Halloween night would be a great time for a quick wedding at the National Gallery of Canada, and I couldn’t have agreed more. After their first look on the balcony overlooking the sunken garden, we cruised around the building making some unique portraits before their ceremony under the giant spider that stands guard in front of the museum. She made her own wedding dress and his custom overcoat matches his guitar perfectly. Here are a few of my favourite frames!

Blair Gable Photography moved out of the coffee shops 2 years ago and is now leaving home as well! I am very proud to announce that I am a photographer in residence at Third Floor York, Ottawa’s newest creative environment. BGP will remain as it was, it just has a fancy-ass new address. You can now find me at 1 York Street on the Third Floor. Come by for an cocktail anytime!

Third Floor York is home to a collection of creative professionals located at the corner of York and Sussex in Ottawa’s Byward Market. As the first studio of it’s kind in Ottawa, Third Floor York is a place that like minded creative professionals have come together to work collaboratively while retaining their own distinct brands. Ottawa wedding photographers Blair Gable, Andrew Van Beek, Barbara Cameron, event planner Shannon Kennedy and cinematographers Reno Video use the studio space to work, shoot, meet.
