Marise + Max | Restaurant 18 wedding

Marise and Max had an amazing winter wedding at the Notre-Dame Basilica and Restaurant 18 in Ottawa’s Byward Market. Shannon Ranger from One Fine Beauty did a wonderful job (as always) with make-up at the bride’s apartment, which added a great feeling of intimacy compared to a hotel suite, then Marise and Max shared their first look at the Chateau Laurier before heading to the Notre-Dame Basilica for their wedding ceremony. Restaurant 18 has always been one of my favourite wedding venues in Ottawa because of the modern, elegant decor and amazing food – best steak in the city! The late-night escape to the back of their limo was a great way to end the night.

Country Club Wedding | Jane + Patrick

country-club-wedding (11)

Jane and Patrick had a fantastic October wedding at the Royal Ottawa Golf and Country Club in Gatineau. Jane spent the morning being dotted on in her suite at the Fairmont Chateau Laurier while Patrick spend a relaxing morning with his closest friends at a home in the Glebe. After their first look, they spent some time exploring Hog’s Back Falls and chasing around Jane’s run-away veil before heading to Gatineau for their country club wedding. Despite the wind, the weather was perfect, and it stayed sunny and warm just as long as we needed it to.

Chateau Laurier wedding | Whitney + Karam

chateau-laurier-wedding (7)

I loved photographing Whitney and Karam’s beautiful summer wedding at the Fairmont Chateau Laurier. My favourite moments were the brides grandmother seeing Whitney in her wedding dress for the first time, the homeless dude chatting up the groomsmen, experiencing my first zaffe, the groom rapping Jay-Z and Kanye on the dance floor, and the late-night firework display. Their ceremony was held in the Canadian room and their reception in the beautifully-styled Renaissance-style ballroom. It was a friggin’ beauty.
