Amy and Alan are the kind of people that I love getting to know; fun loving, quirky, romantic, and easygoing. They held a beautiful Great Gatsby-inspired wedding at the Museum of Nature and Sala San Marco last summer and I was very excited to photograph their big day. It was a real pleasure to get to know them and photograph their engagement session and wedding. Joelle and Francois planned a gorgeous summer wedding for their family and friends with the help from Tia Ward and the Ottawa Westin. Joelle was zipped into her gorgeous Spanish-designer wedding dress in the Bonaventure suit while Francois and the guys donned their custom light-grey suits in a suite next door. The couple were married at the St. Theresa Roman Catholic Church in the afternoon, explored downtown Ottawa during their portrait shoot, and partied with the guests in the Governor General Ballroom until the early morning. The day was full of laughter, tears, and unexpected moments; like when the Groom’s father sang Brown Eyed Girl using the groomsmen as backup singers, and when the Bride snuck off with a friend to eat her favorite cake icing behind the head-table. It was a truly fantastic day!
