I was lucky enough to pick up a few awards in the International Society of Professional Wedding Photographers summer contest. Some of my favorite images from some of my favorite weddings were chosen, as well as one of my favorite engagement shots of the year. Enjoy!

I am lucky enough to have placed third overall in the Professional Wedding Photographers of Canada’s summer contest. The PWPC is a national organization that unites qualified wedding photographers from across Canada with brides and grooms searching for the right shooter for their wedding day. Here are the goods:

Bride & Groom Portrait: 2nd Place  – Lily and JF in downtown Ottawa.

Bride & Groom Portrait: 9th Place – Aimee and Jason get some alone time at Saunders Farm.

Humour: 7th Place – Aimee’s father is going to make sure this wedding happens, one way or another.

Kids Being Kinds: 5th Place – Dore and Eric’s son realized he had his socks on the wrong feet.

Engagement Portraits: 2nd Place – Jessey and Jeremy love them some trees!

Engagement Portraits: 3rd Place – Isha and Sam get intimate on the patio at Restaurant 18 in the Byward Market.

This image from Meagan and Dan’s wedding placed 4th in the Ceremony category of the Professional Wedding Photographers of Canada’s spring contest. It was definitely one of my favorite frames from their wedding!

I recently had a few images place well in the Wedding Photojournalist Association’s Q4 photography contest and I thought I would share them with you. I am very fond of both of these images and am beyond pleased with the results.
