Jaclyn and Tyler’s wedding at the Doctors House in Kleinburg, Ontario, north of Toronto, was a real beauty! However, I did see and hear things that I had never seen or heard at a wedding before – and they are best not disclosed here. I also know way more about vaporizers than I really need to. The wedding party looked great, the weather was perfect, the guests were party animals, and the location was beautiful – it doesn’t get much better than that. Congratulations Jac and Ty!

Joelle and Francois planned a gorgeous summer wedding for their family and friends with the help from Tia Ward and the Ottawa Westin. Joelle was zipped into her gorgeous Spanish-designer wedding dress in the Bonaventure suit while Francois and the guys donned their custom light-grey suits in a suite next door. The couple were married at the St. Theresa Roman Catholic Church in the afternoon, explored downtown Ottawa during their portrait shoot, and partied with the guests in the Governor General Ballroom until the early morning. The day was full of laughter, tears, and unexpected moments; like when the Groom’s father sang Brown Eyed Girl using the groomsmen as backup singers, and when the Bride snuck off with a friend to eat her favorite cake icing behind the head-table. It was a truly fantastic day!

Suzanne and Paul were very happy to be getting married this weekend. They hosted an intimate ceremony at the All Season’s chapel and delicious reception at The Orange Gallery, catered by Tulips and Maple. The weather couldn’t have been better; the preceding week of rain made all colours all the more vibrant once the clouds parted. Good times!

Samantha and Mark got ready with their best friends and family members at the Brookstreet Hotel and were married by Keith Langille from Exceptional Wedding Ceremonies at the Marshes Golf Club this past weekend. On top of being a very fun couple, they are also fantastic parents to their young children who were heavily photographed throughout the day. There were lots of unexpected moments throughout the day. Between Samantha’s beautiful wedding dress from Renewed With Love, their family breakdancing session, their son singing Uptown Funk on the dance floor, the groomsmen all wearing Nike Air Force 1’s, and the torrential downpour, this will certainly be a wedding that is not soon forgotten.

When you get to photograph a couples engagement session in an abandoned mine, you set your camera to epic. The ice was frozen thick, but you could see through it into the clear waters below, which was more than a little unnerving. Walking on clear ice was not nearly as anxiety inducing as the drive in-and-out down steep, snow packed lanes, but the adventure was more than worth the elevated heart rate. Congratulations Janie and Brad!
