Museum of Nature wedding | Amy + Alan

Amy and Alan are the kind of people that I love getting to know; fun loving, quirky, romantic, and easygoing. They held a beautiful Great Gatsby-inspired wedding at the Museum of Nature and Sala San Marco last summer and I was very excited to photograph their big day. It was a real pleasure to get to know them and photograph their engagement session and wedding. Their images are presented in black and white because I felt it complimented there timeless and intimate qualities.

Quiet, understated, admittedly a little awkward, full of love and appreciation. The ceremony and reception were held at the Courtyard Restaurant in Ottawa’s ByWard Market. The paper cranes, sprinkle-crusted cake, and penis balloons? were just a few of the subtle symbols and mementoes that made their wedding authentic to them.
